The DiaPat® technology is based on the innovative coupling of two well-established analytical methods: capillary electrophoresis and mass spectrometry (CE/MS - see figure). Utilizing this CE-MS technology allows a rapid and accurate analysis of body fluids.

Thousands of proteins and peptides are involved, forming a diagnostic pattern that changes with the onset and progression of a disease. The DiaPat® technology identifies up to 6,000 of these proteins and polypeptides and subsequently generates disease specific patterns.
Proprietary software enables comparing the patient's individual pattern to the disease specific patterns in the database. Diagnosis is accomplished based on this data.
The protein profile of a patient is digitally deposited in the data base and accessible for future comparison with other diagnostic patterns.
DiaPat® enables unbiased documentation of the state of health and monitoring of therapy.
One urine sample contains about 1GB of information.
